Hello! I am a commercial photographer from Colorado and based in Salt Lake City, UT. I specialize in lifestyles, tourism and automotive adventure.
I am an observer by nature. It’s a quality I recall having as far back as early childhood. People Watching with my mother was one of our favorite past-times to do together and to this day I still appreciate seeing others with a sense of curiosity. I love exploring human emotion through observation. I am naturally good at discovering the subject’s subtle moments, that many others miss, that expose the most important pieces of their unique story. My experience in this process helps your audience connect with your authenticity as a brand.
When I begin a project, I visualize what it might feel like if I were living in the moment our audience experiences. Feeling empathy for our audience helps me understand what they need, what they want, and ultimately leads us to how we can provide that for them. This practice is the foundation of my work. I allow space for those “little” sincere moments to emerge, which make each shot more candid and more real. This is where the most memorable moments come from.
Aside from people watching, I also really love tacos, overlanding, and exploring new territory with my wife, son, and two quirky rescue dogs, Lily and Sully. Oh, and if you bring me gummy bears I’d be cool with that, too.
